Autumn 2026 Newsletter
Hello Ladies,
I hope you’re enjoying these beautiful autumn days! Perfect for tidying up the garden and the rain has been very welcome!
We’ve been very busy here at Craftpaks – we attended the AQC in early April which was a great success!! I loaded up as many flannels & kits that would fit on the stand and was pleasantly surprised at how busy it was. We’ve had the same stand at the AQC for the past 15 years and it was great to catch up with ladies from local areas as well as interstate and New Zealand who we’ve come to know over the years. From the feedback I’ve heard, I think everyone had a good show!
In June I am expecting a delivery of a full range of flannels!! Appropriately called “Flannel Season” and I have already put them on the website stating COMING SOON – you can’t order them yet, but at least you can see them!
I’ll give you a little overview of the shop, some things you may not have known …
- I have owned and run Craftpaks for 21 years and I still say I haven’t worked a day since I bought the business! I love what I do and can’t ever imagine doing anything else!!
- Since Covid I run the shop on my own which can prove challenging at times!
- I specialize in flannel and have done for about 15 – 18 years. I am arguably the largest stockist of flannel in Australia! I stock regular cottons as well – not as many as the flannels though!
- As well as the patchwork fabric I also stock all the beautiful fabrics for embroidery - linen, aida for cross stitch, cashmere blanketing and so many divine threads!
- There are Valdani and Colour Streams hand dyed threads and ribbons, Maytime hand dyed ribbons that are to die for, along with DMC stranded, perle 12, 8, 5 and 3, the full range of Appletons Crewel wool plus tapestry wool.
- I have Mill Hill beads, a good selection of buttons, reels of cotton for the sewing machine and haberdashery.
There are weekly patchwork and embroidery classes, a monthly knife sharpening service for your scissors, knives and garden tools and a group of ladies who come in each fortnight to make items to be sold to raise money for the Royal Children’s Hospital. These ladies have been meeting for about 20 years and we have raised many thousands of dollars!
If you’re passing by please drop in I’d love to meet you! I love sharing my family’s treasures – my mother’s first school case, my father’s lantern, currently filled with buttons and my sister’s sewing basket – all used in displays around the shop! And of course there are samples everywhere!!
Happy Stitching ladies,
Warm regards,
Therese
